Support Housing for Young Adults
FFYC provides housing for young adults who have experienced homelessness, are diagnosed with mental health challenges, and/or are in extended foster care or have aged out of the foster system. When residents move into FFYC housing, we provide most basic necessities that they’ll need for day-to-day life in their living space. As they transition out of our housing, we typically encourage them to keep the majority of these items. This way, they’ll have the basic household necessities for their next step in life. Needless to say, with over 60 housing units we cycle through a lot of supplies! Here’s where you come in– your donations help keep us going.
Our housing programs are always in need of new household supplies for our young adult participants! Your donations of new items are welcome and needed. Gift certificates to stores that commonly sell household goods are also especially appreciated.
We request the following donation items to help keep FFYC’s housing units well-stocked:

- Twin Size Sheet Set – 1 flat, 1 fitted, and 1 pillowcase
- Comforter/Bedspread – twin or full
- Tabletop Lamp – plus compatible light-bulbs
- 2 Mugs
- 2 Drinking Glasses
- 2 Dinner Plates
- 2 Bowls
- 2 Sets of Silverware – including spoons, forks, and butter-knives
- 2 Sharp Cooking Knives
- Skillet
- 2 Pots
- Small Set of Cooking Utensils
- Dish Drainer with Tray
- Cleaning Supplies – sponge, dish soap, all-purpose cleaning spray
- Brush for Washing Dishes*
- Reusable Plastic Containers – 1 small set
- Plastic Cutting Board
- Dish Towel
- Laundry Basket or Bag
- Bath Rug
- Small Bathroom Waste Basket
- Toilet Cleaning Brush
- Set of Bath Towels – 1 large towel, 1 hand towel, 1 washcloth
- Shower Curtain – plus curtain rings
- Complete First Aid Kit*

- Living Room Rug
